How to delete your account
Any of these three ways works, and each one deletes the account and all of its data.
- In the totell app: open Inbox, tap the settings gear, then tap Delete account permanently and confirm.
- On the web: sign in at totell.com, open your dashboard, go to Settings, then Delete my account and confirm.
- By email: write to hello@totell.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We complete email requests within 7 days.
What is deleted
Everything tied to the account: your profile and username, email address and phone number, sealed messages you sent or received and their replies, notes on your link, posts, photos, likes, follows, direct messages, notifications, device push tokens, blocks and mutes, reports you filed, and any premium name claim. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Your username becomes available to others again.
What may be kept, and for how long
Nothing is kept on purpose. Automatic database backups can hold a copy for up to 7 days before they expire. If a report about illegal content has already been filed with the authorities, the evidence attached to that report is retained for as long as the law requires.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can delete your own posts from the feed, remove notes from your public wall, archive sealed threads, and clear your photo from the profile settings at any time. For anything else, email hello@totell.com.
